Sue Gray is married to country and Western singer Bill Conlon. The pair are one year apart in age — Gray is 64 and Conlon is 65.
Conlon, who was born in Portaferry in County Down, leads a very private and discreet life.
In the 1980s, Sue Gray took some time away from her work in the civil service to run a pub with her husband.
The pub, called the Cove Bar, sits outside of Newry, Northern Ireland.

When will the Sue Gray report be published?
Downing Street said on January 25 that the government wants the Sue Gray report to be published "as soon as possible".
After the Met Police announced on Tuesday it would be launching its own investigation into the Downing Street parties - prompted by news of Boris Johnson's alleged birthday party in June 2020 - fears arose that the report could be delayed by weeks or even months.
However, it's understood the force has given the go-ahead to press on with publication as planned, stating that the report would not interfere with any of its proceedings.
No 10 are yet to receive a copy of the report, according to Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, who told Sky News: "That’s correct. And, of course, it’s an independent report, it’s a matter for Sue Gray when she sends that report, when she’s completed her work."
