'Such a shame': Locals left gutted as popular restaurant closes its doors

LOCALS in Blairgowrie have said a restaurant in the town will be “sadly missed” after it announced its closure.

Bosses at Little’s Restaurant shared the news in a post on social media, saying the restaurant will be shutting down.

Owner Willie Little made the announcement with the restaurant having been put up for sale last year.

It is based inside a former Methodist church and has proved popular with those living in the town.

A post on the Facebook page said: “It’s with much sadness we announce that Littles last day of trading will be this Saturday, October 19.

“We wish to extend a tremendous thank you to all of our loyal guests for your support throughout the Little’s journey.

“Thank you for all the memories over the years.”

Staff said it was with “much sadness” that the restaurant was closing. While many on social media expressed their disappointment, saying the business would be "sadly missed", they also wished the owner well in his retirement.

“Such a shame, we are so sorry to hear this news,” said one while another person commented: “We were just there last week having another delicious meal”.

A third added that they had made “such good memories” while another wrote that it was the “best place to eat for miles around”.
