Gardai have seized a submachine gun and ammunition from a stolen jeep in Greenhills.
The black uzi submachine gun had an attached silencer, and a firearm magazine was also found in the jeep.
The seizure happened yesterday afternoon, with the weapons now being forensically examined.

Gardai also removed the jeep from the area for technical examination.
No arrests have yet been made in connection with the sting but investigations are ongoing.
A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí have seized a submachine gun and ammunition following the search of a stolen jeep in the Greenhills area of Dublin, yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 23rd March 2022.
"The jeep was seized and taken from the area for technical examination. A black uzi submachine gun with an attached silencer, a quantity of ammunition and a firearm magazine were discovered during this search.
"The firearm and ammunition will now be forwarded to our Ballistics section to be forensically examined.
"No arrests have been made at this time."
