Incredible new footage has emerged of the ongoing work at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium.

The brand new Anfield Road stand is set to be completed in time for the start of the new 23/24 season with the home of the Reds now set to increase further to over 61,000. Jurgen Klopp's men are set to begin the new Premier League campaign with a home match against Bournemouth on August 19.

The £80m project will allow the club to boast the fifth-largest football stadium in England - and the fourth-highest capacity in the Premier League. The change will bring see an extra 7,000 seats further increasing the volume of supporters on matchdays.

With the work now just weeks away from development, popular YouTuber 'Mister Drone UK' has been providing regular updates of the stadium by flying his recording device up and over the surrounding areas, to give fans a true glimpse into the ongoing expansion.

And in his latest footage the roof structure now appears to be fully in place and has been partially panelled. A shot from the side of the roof shows how the last few rows of seats in the upper tier will be steeper than the rest of the spectator level.

Supporters can also see in the footage that seats are slowly being added to the upper tier now that the old roof has been removed. The cladding is also flying up on both sides of the stand.

Liverpool most recently developed the Main Stand back in 2021 adding a further 8,500 seats to it's already now impressive 54,742 capacity. Construction of the new Main Stand was made possible by the complete demolition of all the houses in Lothair Road as well as some of those on neighbouring Alroy Road and Anfield Road.

Work on the Anfield Road stand beginning on 30 September 2021 as current manager Klopp began with the first sod. The new stand will also see the relocation of the Family Park to a different position with details yet to be announced on its new location.
