Bruno Fernandes ended his long wait for an Old Trafford goal in stunning fashion, netting Manchester United's second in their Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday evening.
Leading 1-0 through Fred's deflected effort just a few minutes into the second half, United doubled their lead in stunning fashion courtesy of Fernandes' second goal of the campaign. Just seconds after referee Simon Hooper had waved play on for an offside against Harry Kane at the other end, Fernandes bent home a sumptuous effort from just inside the penalty area.
Fred's attempted effort bounced off of Eric Dier and landed kindly at the feet of Fernandes, who opened his body up and bent home a lovely right-footed effort first time. It was nothing more than the Reds deserved, as they had been threatening a second since Fred's opener.

It brought the Portugal international's long wait for a home goal to an end, with his last coming in the 3-0 win over Brentford back in May. It was a fitting way for him to bring his barren run to an end and United's supporters, unsurprisingly, celebrated in style.

Fernandes thought he had doubled his tally just over 10 minutes later, rounding Hugo Lloris and slotting the ball into the empty net. However, he was flagged offside, meaning it remained at 2-0.
