Having been hammered by storms over recent weeks, the sunshine has been more than welcome this weekend.

The Met Office says the region will see sunshine throughout the day, with a maximum temperature of 10C in the city this afternoon, before a dry night after sunset.

However, it's a good idea to make the most of it today, because the good weather is not expected to last for long.

Manchester is set for light rain on Monday morning, turning heavier as the day continues, according to the Met Office.
