Stunning home with its own lift and games room for sale

A Formby penthouse apartment which welcomes guests via its own private elevator and also boasts a sauna and games room has been placed on the market for a little under £1m.

The luxury space in Barkfield Mansions on Wicks Lane has three bedrooms and four bathrooms sprawled over 3,500 sq ft. The private elevator opens directly into the entrance hall, leading to the living area and modern kitchen with integrated appliances, a large central island and a breakfast table.

A mezzanine overlooks the lounge and is currently used as a large formal dining area, but has potential to be a gym or an additional TV room.

The apartment has three bedrooms, all of which have en-suites, while the master also has a mezzanine dressing area. There is also a large family bathroom.

Outside, there are communal gardens and parking. However, with planning permission in place to install a roof terrace, the buyer would be able to entertain and relax in total privacy, as well as maximising the use of the outdoor space.

Other luxury extras include underfloor heating and air conditioning.

The home is on the market for £975,000 with Abode and is close to local shops, schools and transport links.

Formby is one of the most prestigious locations in Merseyside and has been home to many celebrities and footballers over the years, including the likes of Duncan Ferguson and Steven Gerrard.

According to Rightmove, the overall price of homes sold was down 2% on the previous year, but up 9% from the 2019 peak of £345,479.
