An Ayrshire school has pulled off a stunning display to celebrate a huge milestone year.
Muirhead Primary School in Troon will toast their 60th anniversary next month.
The pupils and staff are eagerly awaiting the huge birthday bash and are inviting staff and pupils past and present to join them for the festivities on Saturday, June 3.
On Tuesday they got the party started as they formed a huge six and zero outside the school.
Incredible aerial footage of the display was captured on a drone which flew over the pupils and staff and snapped some amazing pictures.
Teacher Iain Lindsay has told how the idea was a "stroke of genius" that came to him at 3am one night.
He told Ayrshire Live: "I was wanting to something eye-catching and was thinking of ways to capture the whole school celebrating it's 60th birthday.
"It just came to me at 3 in the morning one night, I just thought let's do a big display and capture it on a drone.
"I guess you could say it was a stroke of genius, we've really pulled it off the end result is fantastic.
"It is the entire school staff that were in that day along with all the pupils."
The plan now is for the stunning picture to be used as the backdrop to invitations ahead of the huge birthday bash.
It comes as Ayrshire Live told how one former pupil is leading a unique campaign to include TV royalty in the anniversary celebrations.
We told how Heather Calder, now an artists is planning to raffle off her incredible signed copies of Jack and Victor portraits.
And she wants to include the funny pair who play the Craiglang heroes as she called for them to be at the raffle draw at Troon's Summer Gala - with all proceeds going towards the school.
