Moment Red Arrows soar over Niagara Falls is captured with stunning aerial footage

This is the breathtaking moment Britain’s Red Arrows soared over the Niagara Falls.

Stunning footage shows the Royal Air Force aerobatic team shooting along cloud-lined skies above the giant crashing waterfall.

Footage taken from the cockpit of one of the jets shows the iconic aircraft speeding over southern Ontario, Candana, and above the world-famous Niagara site.

Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls located between Ontario and New York. The largest is Horseshoe Falls, which straddles the US-Canada border.

The Red Arrows flypast was part of a 50-minute trip from Washington DC to Canada to promote the Canadian International Airshow.

The team are taking part in a six-city tour of the Commonwealth country before they appearing at an exhibition in Toronto alongside Canada’s own aerobatic squadron, the Snowbirds.

The flight team comprises 11 pilots flying Hawk T1 jets.

Nine perform in each display, and more than 100 technicians and other personnel needed to get each show off the ground.

Since forming, the team has flown almost 5,000 displays in 57 countries.
