Stunned mum discovers daughter's cheeky tattoo in dentist chair after hiding it for year

If you make a decision you know your parents won't approve of, it can be tempting to try and hide the truth. But one woman who had been keeping a secret from her mum decided to come clean in a hilarious way.

The daughter, who had been hiding a lip tattoo for months, made the big reveal during a trip to the dentist. And her mum, the dentist in question, had no idea until her daughter sat in the chair. What followed was a nerve-wracking check-up, as she waited for her mum to react to the cheeky tattoo, which looked like it brought tears to the mother's eyes.

The footage was shared to TikTok by the mischievous daughter, posting as @maddiebellefit.

It was captioned: "The reason i’ve avoided her work this past year," by the 20-year-old, from California.

In the clip, Maddie can be seen sitting in the chair, as her mum completes her check-up.

The dentist begins as usual before her daughter says: "I bit my lip really bad."

Pausing to check, the mum then realises something is amiss. And her face quickly drops, as she realises: "She has a freaking tattoo."

But by this point, she has not yet worked out what the cheeky tattoo is. "Let me see that you beast," she says.

"What does it say? Does it say f**k you?" asks the astonished mum.

Not getting the answer right, she guesses: "Does it say Maddie?"

But after Maddie laughs in response, the penny finally drops.

"Does it say daddy?" asks the dentist. And perhaps unfortunately for the mum, her guess was right.

The video has since been viewed five million times, with people left in stitches by the look of "disgust" on the mum's face - as it was interpreted by her daughter.

Several commenters also thought the mum was less than impressed, based on her facial expressions.

One person said: "She’s so disappointed."

"The pain in her eyes," wrote another. Someone even thought the mum was "low key bout to cry".

However, people were also delighted Maddie had shared the video with viewers.

"The disappointment on her face at the end is the best part. I love it…" read a comment.

A second person agreed: "That's hilarious.... well played."
