In Saudi Arabia, students at Zahrat Al-Sahra’a International School have been actively participating in Call to Earth Day, engaging in various activities to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
One of the key events organized was a sustainability seminar hosted by the Ministry of Environment, where students had the opportunity to learn about the importance of protecting the environment and ways to promote sustainability in their daily lives.
Fourth-graders at the school also took part in a beach clean-up activity, demonstrating their commitment to preserving natural habitats and keeping the environment clean.
Additionally, third-graders engaged in a reflective exercise by writing letters to their future selves, expressing their dreams and goals in relation to climate change. This activity encouraged students to think about the impact of their actions on the environment and consider ways to contribute positively to addressing climate challenges.
The initiatives undertaken by the students at Zahrat Al-Sahra’a International School highlight the importance of education in fostering environmental consciousness and inspiring young individuals to become responsible stewards of the planet.
