Dutch police has arrested several students at a pro-Palestine protest at the University of Amsterdam, after a university building was occupied while clashes with police took place nearby.
At least five people were seen being led away by officers during the demonstration at the Maagdenhuis building in the historical city centre. The protesters demanded that the university cut all ties with Israeli universities over the war in Gaza.
Riot police clashed with a smaller group of several hundred students and activists outside the building.
