Rangers' new investor Stuart Gibson has revealed how he was so dedicated to building up his business in Japan he moved into his office 24/7.
Record Sport exclusively revealed that the Japan-based businessman is set to plough finances into Rangers.
And outgoing chairman Dave King has confirmed that new investment will be brought in to Ibrox via the upcoming share issue.
Paisley-born Gibson has made his money as a property funding expert who is involved in multi-million pound deals in the Far East.
And, in an interview in Japan last year, Gibson underlined the drive and dedication he needed to succeed as a Scot in the Japanese business world.
He said: "I was first assigned to Japan in 1987 so I've been living and working in this part of the world for well over 30 years now.
"Basically, I go to work every day. In fact, I actually live at my work. The only time I am not at my offices is when I am on business trips.
"So I actually live in my offices all the time so, if necessary, I can make important decisions immediately. It works well for me.
"What surprised me when I came to Asia was the beauty of the country and the mild climate. I'm from Scotland, so it's completely different. I've taken up sailing since I moved here.
"I've faced enormous challenges in Japan. We had the financial crisis in 2007 and we had only just recovered from that when we were hit with the 2011 earthquake in Japan. I've been through a lot here.
"So that encouraged us to move into business in China, Singapore and South Korea and expand. I've been managing assets valued at £250 million for the past ten years and we employ staff around the world.
"For me, I see enormous growth and development in the Japanese market and it's where I see my future."
