Helen Skelton and Hamza Yassin found themselves joint top of the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard tonight.
The Countryfile presenter and her professional dance partner Gorka Marquez impressed with their Charleston to the Blue Peter Them Tune, scoring themselves a huge 35 for their routine. They are joined by Hamza and his partner Jowita at the top of the leaderboard, who scored 35 out of 40 for their Quickstep to On Top of the World by Imagine Dragons, celebrating BBC Nature Programming.
Elsewhere, towards the bottom of the leaderboard was Tony Adams and Katya Jones, who danced a Cha Cha Cha to Grandstand Theme Tune, celebrating BBC Sport. James Bye and Amy Dowden also found themselves near the bottom of the leaderboard after the scores from the four judges - Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke.
Kym Marsh and her professional partner bounced back from last week's dance off against Matt Goss with a Quickstep to Ballroom Blitz by Sweet, celebrating the original Come Dancing - but she admitted she was struggling with her confidence.
It has been a tough week for the celebrities and their professional dance partners, with Fleur East revealing no less than four of them were ill last week - and it had a big effect on last week's leaderboard.
Speaking on her radio show, she said: "There were a few mentions on Saturday night, but it was a tough week for a lot of people in the competition. Hamza [Yassin] was very, very sick, so was Will [Mellor] and so was Kym [Marsh] and we didn't say anything on Saturday but Vito was really ill last week too. I got one full day of rehearsal with him.
"Everyone was getting the flu, so he was out for the count and in bed – he didn't move for two days."
This week's theme was a special one to mark 100 years of the BBC. The show began with a very special routine that saw the pro dancers and judges gate crash some of the BBC's biggest shows whilst the couples danced to an iconic BBC theme tune or in tribute to the BBC's most beloved services.
Sarah James, Executive Producer for Strictly Come Dancing, said: "We know how much viewers love the Strictly themed weeks so it’s fantastic to be able to announce a new one, celebrating the BBC’s centenary. It’s the icing on the cake to be able to confirm that we are returning to the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom this year, we can’t wait to get back to Blackpool!"
