Strictly Come Dancing’s final is in full swing and Helen Skelton is one of the four finalists battling it out for the crown of Strictly winner 2022.
During the night Helen and her pro dance partner will be performing a total of three routines. Their first dance of the night was judges' pick and after struggling to choose just one dance the judges decided that the pair would perform the Jive to ‘Tightrope’ by Janelle Monáe.
Helen and Gorka previously performed this dance in week 7 however there were a few mistakes in the routine but they walked away with 39.

Before they took to the dance floor, in a pre-recorded clip Shirley said: “When we first saw her she was lacking complete confidence.” Motsi jumped in: “She has grown and has shown such quality dance.”
Ahead of her performance Helen admitted: “There is a lot riding on this performance because it’s the one the judges picked. I loved the Jive the first time round and I’m so grateful to do it again and hopefully this time it will be 10 out of 10 perfect.”
They managed to impress the judges as they gained 39 points and Motsi told the pair they were “fabulous”. Head judge Shirly told Helen: “I can see that you are comfortable in your own skin.” However Shirly addressed the mistakes they made the first time they performed this routine.
She continued: “No missed steps this time, no missed steps at all but what you gained this time was attitude. You absolutely deserve everything well done.”
After performing their Jive, Helen and Gorka spoke to Claudia where Helen admitted that she suffered a makeup fail. Holding her hand up she said :“I’ve just noticed my fake tan on my hand. How bad is that? That’s strictly people!” Claudia joked: “I’m not even going to show you mine!
However viewers thought Shirley's remark about Helen’s “missed steps” was “passive aggressive.” @bendypretzel Tweeted: “Why does Shirley have to give such passive aggressive feedback? ‘No missed steps’ … just say it’s bloody fantastic, because it is.”
@napqueen3000 commented: “Shirley is straight up mean to Helen, on something that pretty and symbolic for her, why make a shitty little comment?”
@goldilocs15 wrote: “Shirley reacting to the boos! Lol keep calm Shirley #strictly.” While @FlopsyPickle added: “Yet again Shirley has found something to nitpick about with Helen, she really doesn’t like her does she?”
