Neil Jones has given fans something to get excited about ahead of his return to Strictly Come Dancing later this year. Taking to Instagram, the pro dancer shared a big announcement with his followers, teasing: “The news is out,” as he revealed where fans can catch him before the glitterball action kicks off in autumn.
The BBC recently confirmed Neil will be back on Strictly for its 2025 series, marking nearly ten years as a pro on the show. He’ll join familiar names like Katya Jones, Karen Hauer, Amy Dowden, Gorka Marquez, and Johannes Radebe, plus two new dancers yet to be revealed, Manchester Evening News reports.
Reacting to the line-up reveal, Neil posted a heartfelt message on social media, saying: “I can’t believe it’s going to be a decade that I have been a pro on @bbcstrictly… thank you and I can’t wait to continue entertaining the nation.” He added a cheeky note to his critics too: “To the rest, come on it’s about time you switch from being a hater to actually enjoying life and give me some love.”
But that’s not all. Before he’s back dazzling on the Strictly dancefloor, Neil’s heading out on the road for a brand-new dance workshop tour. In a video with fellow world champion Craig Shaw, Neil announced: “@prepdance on tour is coming to a city near you. 3 incredible dance workshops with two World champions… and a special Strictly guest.”
The first four stops have already been announced, with Strictly co-star Kai Widdrington joining the crew. The tour kicks off in Swansea on 20th May, followed by Dublin on 10th June, Belfast on 11th June, and Glasgow on 14th June.
His fellow Strictly dancers were quick to show their support in the comments. Carlos Gu shouted, “Woohoooo!” while Karen Hauer dropped a row of clapping hands and a “yesssss.”
Fans are loving the energy too. One wrote: “Amazing! Best of luck with it!!!!” while another added: “Brilliant!” Someone even teased they “can’t wait for Birmingham,” even though it hasn’t been listed yet — clearly hoping for more dates to be added soon.
With workshops, world champ talent, and Strictly stars in the mix, Neil’s tour is shaping up to be just as exciting as the main show.
