Strictly star Matt Goss selling US possessions ahead of UK return

Strictly contestant Matt Goss has been flogging everything from baked beans to a Loose Women mug as he prepares to return to the UK.

The Bros star is selling the possessions from his Las Vegas home, where he has lived and performed for the last 25 years.

The 53-year-old has been offering canned goods, boxes of tea and clothes from his wardrobe, with interest reportedly high among fans of the pop star.

Bros had a string of hits in the 1980s including When Will I Be Famous? and UK number one I Owe You Nothing before Matt embarked on a solo career.

A source told The Sun : “Matt threw open his doors to shoppers. There is some amazing Bros memorabilia and also some random stuff. There are old mugs he has collected throughout his career, one of which came from Loose Women.

"People have been rummaging through and picking out the best mementos they can find. It’s so rare for a famous person to do this so it’s been pretty popular.”

Matt spoke earlier this month about returning to the UK and “embracing life”.

He will compete against the likes of Kym Marsh, Ellie Simmonds and Tony Adams on the BBC show and told BBC Breakfast: "It is a nice feeling to have - that familiarity with the British public. It’s very conversational.

"There’s selfies and we’ll chat about life and that’s the life I want. I don’t want a reclusive life in my place, I want to get out and embrace life much more than I have done and obviously with my announcement yesterday, it’s as public as you can get really.

"I think my lifestyle’s different here, but I also get treated like part of the family in this country. I get treated very, very well."

Matt, who has never seen Strictly, has more than just competing for the Glitterball Trophy on his mind.

He wants to use the show's tough training regime to get in even better shape and feel sexy.

He said: “I’ve been sparring three days a week and doing pilates. I did my physical the other day with squats and lunges and I really felt it in my bum.

“I only have a one-pack so hopefully I’ll get a six-pack. I’m looking forward to fake tan and wearing my little man thong. I don’t want lines.

“The buttons are pretty low on the shirts so you’ll be seeing my tattoos. I want to feel sexy. At times it’s nice to feel sexier.”
