Strictly star Dianne Buswell says it'd be 'great' if partner Joe Sugg popped the question

Strictly star Dianne Buswell has shut down rumours that she has waltzed away from Joe Sugg – and hinted that marriage could even be on the cards.

Fans speculated that the pair, who met on the BBC show in 2018, had broken up after Dianne, 33, flew off to her native Australia without him.

But in an exclusive interview, the dancer said: “It makes me laugh that people think I wouldn’t go and see my family without Joe. It blows my mind.

“He knows I don’t live anywhere near my family, so if there is any chance I can go to see them… he doesn’t have to come with me everywhere.”

Dianne also said it would be “great” if YouTuber Joe, 31, popped the question one day. She admitted: “We haven’t really spoken about it, so if it happens, great. If not, we’re happy with how things are going.”

This week, Dianne released new book Move Yourself Happy, in which she discusses her previous battle with eating disorders.

She said: “I got to the point where I would do anything I could to lose weight. I tried lots of diets, I would skip meals or make myself sick.

“That was something I definitely wanted to include because I think that, for a lot of people, to know that someone like me has overcome those struggles gives them hope.

“A lot of people going through stuff like this think there’s no coming out of it and there is a long road. But it’s important to know your body can recover.

“It’s not going to be like that for ever if you don’t want it to be.

“For me, it’s made me really aware of my body. It’s made me look more into nutrition, into mov-ement – and that has helped with this book, which is about finding a way to bring joyful movement into your life.”

Move Yourself Happy: 21 Days To Make Joyful Movement A Habit by Dianne Buswell (Watkins Publishing) is out on March 14.
