Strictly star AJ Pritchard gets ‘engaged’ to model girlfriend two years after confirming romance

The pair posted snaps from a date last month - (Instagram)

Strictly star AJ Pritchard is reportedly engaged to his girlfriend of two years Zara Zoffany.

Zara, a model, appeared to confirm the news as she posted snaps of her celebrating her birthday on Instagram on Saturday.

A friend who posted a photo of her to wish her happy birthday captioned it: “Miss Engaged” along with a string of heart emojis.

In the photo, the 30-year-old appeared to be wearing a large diamond engagement ring on her left ring finger, along with a white mini skirt, red top and white boots.

The pair sparked speculation that they were engaged during a trip to Paris last year.

Zara posted a series of photos of the couple holding hands in front of the Eiffel Tower, in which AJ appeared to be on one knee, alongside another photo where the couple embraced.

She captioned it with: “From Paris, With Love”.

AJ, 30, is known for his appearances on Britain’s Got Talent and Strictly as a dancer, alongside appearing on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

He said after appearing on the latter show in 2022 that he felt Strictly was harder than the Channel 4 endurance show.

He was among four contestants to reach the finale of that year’s series after surviving a host of physical challenges in the heat of the Jordanian desert.

The series saw 14 celebrities put through military training exercises to test their physical and mental strength while battling the heat of the Jordanian desert.

Asked whether he found his time on Strictly, where he was a professional dancer for four series, or Celebrity SAS more challenging, he said at the time: “It’s a really hard one.

“I think for me, SAS was so therapeutic and so beautiful and I feel like I achieved what I wanted.

“But Strictly itself, being a professional dancer you are a life coach, you are the driving force, you are the person that puts it all together and holds it together when it’s going wrong so mentally and physically, Strictly is a hell of a lot longer at six months.”
