Strictly Come Dancing fans were left heartbroken by this week’s spoiler, after being kept waiting for the result for the second week in a row, with some hitting out at a ‘ridiculous’ outcome.
After two consecutive theme weeks on the BBC show, it was back to normal for all involved as pressure on the remaining couples ramped up once more. And it was another high scoring one too, especially for now bookies favourite Hamza Yassin, with the wildlife photographer topping the Strictly leaderboard outright with a score of 38 out of 40. Nipping at the heels of him and pro partner Jowita Przystal were Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima and Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez, who both landed personal bests of 37.
They weren’t the only couples tied on scores either as the middle of the leaderboard curse threatened to strike again with Fleur East, fresh from her second dance-off and Mollie both getting 35 and Ellie Simmonds and Will Mellor each earning a total of 33.
Down at the bottom, Tony Adams was left hoping he'd get of loads of public support once again after getting just 21.
For the second week in succession, there was to be no reward for Strictly fans who stayed up late into the night on Saturday, with the Strictly spoiler account offering their apologies on Twitter once again.
And, when fhe result finally landed around 4am on Sunday, many fans were gutted. On seeing it, one wrote: “ This is ridiculous now. Too many good dancers are going.”
A second tweeted: “That’s a shame but it’s getting to the tough end,” while, in a rarity for this series, others argued it was the right decision.
