Strictly's Tyler cries on plane as he jets to Mauritius for 9 hours for brother's wedding

Strictly Come Dancing's Tyler West said he was in tears as he jetted off to Mauritius for nine hours to be his brother's best man.

The radio presenter, 26, took to Instagram to explain why he is taking a break from rehearsing for the hit dancing show, with Saturday night just days away.

Sharing a series of snaps and clips with his brother, Tyler explained he was flying to Mauritius for just 24 hours to go to his brother's wedding.

Tyler posted the photos while he was on his flight and joked he was a 'bit emotional' after having a complimentary drink.

He shared a photo alongside his brother as he was holding a gift bag that said 'Tyler Best Man'.

"I wouldn’t miss it for the world & I am so excited for you. I can’t wait for everything that’s to come @west_bakes_uk @lewisanthony1 let’s go #LeathersWithTheWhiteSocks".

The Kiss FM presenter also shared a clip of him and his brother trying on suits ready for the big day as his brother started singing and dancing in the changing rooms.

Tyler then posted a sweet photo of the brother laughing while sat on a swing together as well as a sweet throwback snap.

Tyler's professional dance partner Dianne Buswell commented on the post: "Have the best time! The tango will miss you."

While Strictly pro Jowita Przystal said: "Have the best time :)."

Tyler had earlier expressed his concern he would be missing vital rehearsal time when he appeared on BBC's Strictly: It Takes Two.

Speaking to host Rylan Clark, he said: "My calendar is just not looking good is it."

Dianne said: "I'm really enjoying this, we've got a lot of work to do, right Tyler?

"But I'm really enjoying this one, so hopefully all goes well and you get back from Mauritius in time, we'll be good."

Tyler added: "My brother is getting married, so I've got to fly out to Mauritius, for 13 hours, I'll be there nine hours, then I'll do 13 hours to come back."

Tyler and Dianne will be dancing to the official Doctor Who theme tune to celebrate 100 years of the BBC.

Christopher Eccleston, who played the ninth doctor, shared a video message for the pair.

The actor said: "Tyler, hello Dianne, I've been running the tune through in my head to try and work out what moves you're gonna do and I can't.

"So, to paraphrase James Brown, I don't care how you dance, but however you dance, it's got to be funky – good luck."
