Tess Daly was forced to apologise to James Bye, after making him cry as he left Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday night.
After defying bookies' odds by avoiding the Strictly dance-off altogether, EastEnders star James not only landed in the bottom two for the first time this weekend, but he and pro partner Amy Dowden got the boot at the first time of asking, with all four judges opting to keep in rival couple Fleur East and Vito Coppla.
James and Amy had finished bottom of the leaderboard on Saturday night as their beekeeper themed Charleston failed to set the dancefloor alight on Halloween Week and they got just 27 out of 40 from the judges. After viewers had their say, those marks weren't enough to keep the pair out of trouble and, then, following a reprise of their dance, they were given their marching orders as the Strictly result mirrored the standings from the live show.

Initially, Martin Fowler actor James appeared to be taking his elimination in his stride, but that was until Tess mentioned his children at home, telling him: "You said when you came to us, you had two priorities: one was to have fun and the other was to make your three boys proud. And I think it's safe to say, you've done that."
The moment Tess made that remark, James put his hand up to his face, telling the host: "Oh don't tell me that Tess." As Tess said: "You've done that," James replied: "Don't say that," before he started to cry and Amy put her arm around him.
Loud cheers rang out around the studio in support of James as he struggled with his emotions and then again, when he and Amy had their exit dance to Bon Jovi's Livin' On A Prayer.
