Strictly's Rose Ayling-Ellis and boyfriend 'split' as he 'confides in her pal'

Strictly Come Dancing's Rose Ayling-Ellis and her boyfriend Samuel Arnold have reportedly split.

It has been reported that Samuel has grown close to one of her friends.

The EastEnders star and Samuel, who are both deaf, were together for seven years before they went their separate ways.

A friend explained: "It’s very amicable and they’ll remain close friends, but unfortunately, there is no future for them romantically.

"They spent a lot of time apart while Rose was away on tour, which has had an impact.

"It’s been difficult for them both, of course, but they’re certain it’s the right move — and Sam’s had a shoulder to cry on in their mutual friend Aimee."

It's been claimed Rose's boyfriend has confided in CBeebies host Aimee Campbell-Nottage, according to The Sun.

Mirror have contacted Rose's representatives for comment.

Speculation was rife about their relationship in recent weeks as her career skyrocketed since her Strictly Come Dancing victory with Giovanni Pernice in 2021.

Her career instantly skyrocketed after her incredible stint on the show, where the deaf star raised awareness for her community time and time again during her incredible journey on the show.

Rose and Giovanni's friendship blossomed behind the scenes, which set tongues started wagging about if there was something more between the pair due to their onscreen chemistry.

The actress has always kept her romance with Samuel low-key and out of the spotlight.

An insider recently claimed that Rose and Sam have been concentrating on themselves in current times.

"Rose and Sam drifted apart, especially after she became so busy with work projects and was in demand with new work opportunities.

"They still have a lot of love and respect for each other, but they’re also still young and working out their lives.

"Rose went to Barcelona on her own to gather her thoughts and think about what she wanted. They have both grown as people since they first starting dating. This is Rose’s moment and she is grabbing life by the horns, focusing on her career and taking any opportunity that she can.”

The actress, who has played Frankie Lewis on EastEnders since 2020, won herself legions of fans last year when she competed on Strictly Come Dancing and won.

Rose was the first ever deaf contestant on the hit BBC show and her presence on the series prompted fans to begin learning sign language.

Earlier this month, the actress unveiled the first ever Barbie with hearing aids.
