Strictly Come Dancing viewers declared they were left 'an emotional wreck' as reigning champions Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice returned to the ballroom.
Before Giovanni found out which celeb he was dancing with this year, he and EastEnders actress Rose showed the class of 2022 how it's done, by taking to the floor to perform a stunning Viennese Waltz to Alicia Keys' Fallin', a dance that served them very well on their way to victory last year.
Rose and Giovanni will go down in Strictly history as one of the show's most popular couples of all time, thanks to their triumphant run on the show last year, which included their instantly iconic Couple's Choice, the routine that saw them dance to 10 seconds of complete silence in honour of the deaf community.

The mere mention of Rose and Giovanni's name at the start of the show was enough to get many fans online very excited and, then seeing them performing lifted emotions up a notch. Posting on Twitter, one commented: "Rose and Giovanni make me well up just being there," with a second tweeting: "Makes my heart warm seeing Rose and Giovanni back on my screen."
Since they lifted the Glitterball trophy last year, Rose and Giovanni have gone onto win nearly every show on the Strictly live tour, as well as reuniting for an exclusive performance for Comic Relief. They also had a very emotional moment as they picked up the prize for Must See Moment of the Year at this year's BAFTA awards.
Shortly after Rose and Giovanni's comeback performance, it was revealed that he would be one half of this year's same-sex partnership, along with Radio 2 star Richie Anderson.
