Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice and his celebrity partner Richie Anderson looked miles apart during a recent appearance on It Takes Two.
The pair chose not to sit next to one another on the BBC spin-off as Giovanni shared his frustration with host Rylan Clark.
However, many contestants often sit next to their professional partner on the sofa but this didn't appear to be the case for the pairing.
Speaking to Rylan, Richie said: "I thought they'd mixed up my scores with someone else.
"That's the kind of thing you dream of, to stand in front of the judges and get 8, I never thought it would happen in a month of Sundays."
He continued: "I've never been in a dance studio before coming on this show and even though I'm a bit of a show-off I still have a bit of anxiety when I step on that dance floor.
"So to be getting all the love and the comments and to know that I'm in this man's safe hands, I'm having the best time."
Giovanni went on to reveal that the pair will be dressed as Timone and Pumba as they take on the iconic Samba during Saturday's live show this weekend.
Richie explained that Giovanni hopes to make the dance "technical" although he revealed he's been told he cannot "cut corners".
Speaking to The Mirror, body language expert Judi James revealed that there had been "denial gestures" used by the pair to shut down any speculation of a rift.
She said: "There are more connection signals between Richie and Giovanni now, although they do seem to have toned down the more dramatic denial gestures they used," before explaining that the pair hugging and "constant patting", proving they are friends.
Following an episode of It Takes Two earlier this week, Judi went on to add: "Giovanni looked very much the sophisticated grown-up tonight, sitting back in his seat with his hands clasped at chest level in a barrier ritual, turning the ring on his index finger in what looked like a self-comfort ritual.
"Richie seems to be learning how to talk a little less and how to turn to Giovanni to listen and check a little more.
"He is clearly a naturally enthusiastic man but for this appearance, he had angled his torso diagonally in his chair to be directed towards Giovanni, rather than towards Rylan as he has leaned towards the presenters in the past."
Judi continued to explain that Richie is now taking his leads from Giovanni instead of the radio broadcaster leading the conversations with fits of "excitement".
However, she claims that their partnership is a "work in progress" although it appears they're moving in the right direction.
Strictly Come Dancing returns live at 6:30pm on Saturday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
