Strictly's Neil Jones hits back at mum-shamers trolling his Love Island fiancee Chyna in race row

Strictly Come Dancing pro Neil Jones has spoken out after trolls criticised his biracial baby's skin tone and accused his fiancée Chyna Mills of leaving their newborn to cry.

Love Island star Chyna, 25, had taken to Instagram to ask for people to stop the "disrespectful" comments about the complexion of her and Jone's three-month-old daughter, Havana.

In the video clip, she shared one of the many hateful comments she said she had been getting from people who have said that it's "sad" that she's had a child that could pass for white, suggesting that she should've had a child with a black partner.

She hit back: "I find this highly disrespectful for anyone to comment on anyone's skin colour, let alone my baby's. Keep your comments to yourself and stay away from my page.

"I've had a few comments like this and it's just really weird that people in this day and age want to comment on someone's skin colour. Sort your life out."

Mills pointed out the racist messages (Instagram)

While she complained, baby Havana could be heard in the background, leading to a barrage of comments from trolls telling her to tend to her crying child.

"Girl, your baby is crying!!" someone wrote, which prompted ballroom pro Neil, 41, to shoot back: "Actually she’s singing and making sounds."

One fan sided with Jones and told the critic: "Can tell by your comment that you don’t have kids. Can’t even tell the difference between crying and cooing/fussing.

"Furthermore, is crying not what babies do? It’s their only source of communication."

Another wrote: "The people commenting that her baby is ‘crying’ have never been around babies or looked after a baby and it’s so obvious. That is not a crying baby.

"Not every sound from a baby is crying and you don’t always have to fawn over a baby when it makes a peep - that’s how you create clingy babies. Stop trying to deflect from what she saying."

The professional dancer, 40, welcomed the little one with Chyna, 24, at the beginning of October.

At the time, they announced their daughter’s birth on Instagram with a simple black and white photo of their newborn’s feet, which they captioned: “Our hearts are so full”.

Sharing the inspiration behind Havana, Jones told Hello! Magazine: “Cuba is the home of dance and very multicultural, so it was perfect; it sums us up.”

The pair also admitted they’re “running on not much sleep” but are experiencing “pure joy”.

Jones and Mills went public with their relationship last August after getting engaged in Bali.
