Strictly’s Nadiya Bychkova and Kai Widdrington confirm romance as pictured kissing

Strictly Come Dancing professionals Nadiya Bychkova, 32, and Kai Widdrington, 26, have been snapped locking lips.

The pair are currently touring around the UK as part of the Strictly Come Dancing tour - but managed to enjoy a laid-back date during some downtime at Malmaison Newcastle on Thursday.

In photos captured in the lobby of the high-end hotel, Nadiya and Kai appeared to confirm their romance as they share a kiss.

Nestled up to one another on a sofa, in an empty area, the blonde can be seen leaning into Kai as they share a tender moment.

Kai is dressed in a black knitted hat teamed with a grey jacket in the snaps, Nadiya is seen rocking a casual style in a baby blue jacket and pale grey cap.

Former Britain's Got Talent star Kai was first to arrive at the location for his brief meeting with Nadiya.

She was then spotted strolling into the venue before they visited a Starbucks for a coffee.

They enjoyed one another's company for 30 minutes before leaving separately.

It seems like Kai has been there for Nadiya following her recent split from fiancé Matija Skarabot.

Nadiya - who danced with Dan Walker, 44, on the 2021 series of the hit dancing series - shares a five-year-old daughter with Matija and news of the end of their relationship broke this month.

"Nadiya and Matija haven't been together for some time now," an insider close to the beauty told MailOnline.

"Matija is dedicated to his footballing career in Slovenia and Nadiya is predominantly based in London.

"Performing on Strictly and the Strictly Live Tour takes up half her year, in the end the commitment to their jobs made it too difficult for the relationship to work."

Breakfast star Dan and Nadiya became great pals when dancing on Strictly and she said that he made her 'feel safe' and 'to be herself for the first time.'

After the pair crashed out, Nadiya was full of praise for her dance partner as she reflected on their time on the show.

Nadiya was nearly in tears as she thanked BBC Breakfast host Dan for giving her the confidence and allowing her to be authentically herself.

Speaking on Strictly: It Takes Two, Nadiya said: "It was very special to me. I loved teaching him, but at the same time, I learned so much from him. You gave me the confidence in front of the camera.

"You managed to create that environment for me where I felt safe, and I felt free to be myself for the first time."

She added: "Your friendship gave me wings to fly again."

During the recent series of Strictly, Kai and AJ Odudu were thought to be more than pals due to their steamy chemistry on the dance floor.

AJ, 33, was forced to pull out of the final due to injury and unable to go on the Strictly Come Dancing tour her professional dance partner has been paired up with former EastEnders star Maisie Smith - who competed on the 2020 series of the show.

Last week, reports that AJ was finding it tough to stomach seeing Kai dance with another star.

"AJ has found it hard," a source told new! magazine.

"She and Kai grew so close on the show and had such an incredible bond that it is hard to see him have that with someone else when it should be her."
