Strictly's Motsi Mabuse deliberately dresses down to avoid people staring at her boobs

Motsi Mabuse has said that she Strictly covers up off camera 'to avoid having everyone stare at her boobs'.

The Strictly judge, 41, admitted that she deliberately dresses down in real life to hide her assets.

The TV favourite loves nothing more than throwing on some baggy clothes in her every day life, but when it comes to her Strictly duties, Motsi dresses to impress.

"After the show, Diva Motsi likes to slum it: quite the opposite of my usual sophisticated showmanship," Motsi told.

"I love wearing my baggy black Minnie Mouse sweatshirt. I love baggy tops in general - in daily life, I don't particularly care to emphasise my assets.

"I want to avoid having everyone staring at my boobs," the Strictly star added.

In her new book Finding My Own Rhythm, Motsi, revealed that she is only happy to show off her curves while on telly.

"As a judge on Strictly, I like to wear something that emphasises my figure, since it's a role that compels me to sit still and I can't win any points with elegant movements."

Motsi's confession comes after she revealed that there was a family meeting held before she agreed to join Strictly Come Dancing, amid 'anxiety' over her and sister Oti Mabuse both being on the show.

The dancer joined the judging panel of the BBC show back in 2019, which saw her work alongside younger sister Oti, 32, who had been a dancer on the show since 2015.

She recently revealed that the prospect of having the two siblings on the show caused some 'anxiety' within their family, and that they had a meeting before she signed up.

"We had a family conversation. Everybody was involved because it was such a big decision. There was a bit of anxiety within the family [about the siblings being on the show together] and how [it would work]," she said recently.

The family meeting in 2019 had included the two siblings, their father Peter Mabuse, their mother Dudu Mabuse and their sister Phemelo Mabuse, according to the Sun.

Motsi said: "They were like: 'You can't judge your sister.' I said: 'I'm not judging my sister.' So it was for the family to say: 'Everybody be at their best and then we are all good'."

She recalled that after her first day on the BBC show her younger sister Oti had said she was 'so good'. The dancer is said to have told Motsi that she was 'so proud' of her.

The new series of Strictly however has seen Motsi return without her sister, who announced earlier this year that she had quit the show after seven years as one of its dancers.
