She's been a popstar, a soap actress and a TV presenter, and now Kym Marsh's latest adventure will see her try to conquer the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom.
Kym, 46, is taking to the dancefloor for the 20th series of the BBC One show in honour of her dad, who was diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer last year.
David is currently having treatment, but Kym admitted that sadly, they simply "don't know how long he is going to be around."
"We know he's not well, so I just want to do things that I know he'll want me to do and want to come and see. Especially something so joyous," she told Mail Online.
Despite having been approached to take part on numerous occasions, Kym's military husband Scott Ratcliff might be deployed next year, making it even more urgent to fit it in while she can.

The former Coronation Street star - who starred as Michelle Connor in the soap - married the army major in a intimate ceremony at Royal Memorial Chapel at Sandhurst, Surrey, in 2001, where she was joined by some of her soap star pals.
Kym's on-screen sister Alison King, who plays Carla Connor, was one of her bridesmaids whilst actor Anthony Cotton was also in attendance on the big day alongside Kim's children David, 27, Emilie, 25, and Polly, 11, along with Scott’s daughter Renee, seven, and Kym’s grandson, Teddy, three.
Speaking about her beautiful day Kym told OK! magazine: "It really was the best day ever. It was exactly what we hoped it would be and more. When I saw Scott and how handsome he was in his uniform, it was just like, 'Wow.'"
At her wedding, Kym also paid tribute to her and ex Jamie's late son Archie, who was tragically born 18 weeks early in February 2009 and passed away soon after birth. In his memory, she wore a necklace featuring a cherub.
"David, Emilie and Polly bought it for me as a Mother’s Day present to symbolise Archie. I never take it off and I really wanted to wear it as it represents Archie," she added.
"The other thing we did was have yellow roses dotted around . Yellow wasn’t a part of the day at all. But the yellow rose is Archie’s flower, so we decided we’d put them around the place to symbolise him."
Before she married Scott, Kym was in a relationship with fellow soap star Jamie Lomas.
She married Hollyoaks actor Jamie in 2012 but they split up just two years later.
They were originally due to marry in December 2010, but Kym decided to postpone the nuptials, as they clashed with the 50th anniversary of Coronation Street and she wanted to give it her full attention.
"I didn’t want to be distracted from either the preparations for our big day or from work related to Corrie's 50th," she told OK! magazine at the time.
In July 2012 amid rumours of fiery rows, they were reported to have temporarily split and the family home was put up for sale.
The couple then looked to have patched up their differences and married in September 2012.
When they finally called time on their marriage, they issued a statement which said it was "amicable and they remain friends," and that no one else was involved.
Kym's short-lived marriage to Jamie wasn't her first trip down the aisle.
Her first marriage was to EastEnders actor Jack Ryder.
The duo met in a canteen at the BBC when he was working on the soap and Kym was making an appearance on Top Of The Pops with her pop group Hear'Say.
The pair married in August 2002 and settled in St Albans, but with Kym wanting roles in the north-west and to be closer to her family they moved up to Manchester in 2004.
Kym got the role of Michelle Connor on Coronation Street in 2006, but just two years later their relationship was over.
They announced they were separating in 2008, issuing a statement which said no one else was involved in the break-up and they would "remain friends".
However, the actress admitted to adultery in their divorce papers, although she insisted the relationship with Jamie Lomas started while she and Jack were separated but still technically married.
Jack was granted a decree nisi on the grounds that the marriage had broken down irretrievably.
Court papers detailed Jack as saying that he first found out about her adultery in July 2008.
He wrote that his wife "has admitted that she has committed adultery, which is ongoing".
In reply to a question asking if she admitted to the alleged adultery, Kym simply replied: "Yes."
