Strictly Come Dancing star Kaye Adams has revealed the advice her kids gave her before appearing on the show.
The Loose Women presenter said she never dreamed of taking part in the BBC dancing competition because she “didn’t think she was young or glamorous enough”.
But the 59-year-old – who certainly doesn’t look out of place in preview shots for the new series – agreed to it as she wanted to do something that wasn’t expected of her.
Despite admitting she usually only dances “when she’s drunk”, the TV star is now looking forward to her stint on the Strictly dancefloor.
However, her daughters – Charley, 20, and 15-year-old Bonnie, who she shares with long-term partner Ian Campbell – had some words of wisdom for their opinionated mum.

In a chat with New magazine, Kaye shared her kids have told her: “Don’t have any of your smart comments for the judges. Just shut up!”
Whether Kaye can remain tight-lipped when it comes to the judges’ comments remains to be seen.
Especially as Craig Revel Horwood has already voiced his concerns about Kaye dancing around in “skimpy outfits”.
The Strictly judge – who is 57 himself – said: "Kaye Adams I'm slightly concerned about! I think she'll do quite well at the ballroom stuff, but I'm worried about the Latin.
"The sex appeal and the hip action and rhythm, things like the cha-cha-cha might prove ... a challenge, darling.
"It's the selling yourself bare - the costumes are all quite skimpy with the Latin."
It comes as Kaye revealed she had already suffered a Strictly injury despite the show not having started yet.
The talk show host took to Instagram to upload a snap showing the palm of her hand looking red and sore.
“First Strictly injury,” she wrote, before telling her followers it was caused by “overenthusiastic clapping!”
The ITV presenter also admitted how Strictly Come Dancing's intense rehearsal schedule has played havoc with her sleep.
She took to Twitter to write: “Struggled to sleep last night after the first day of Strictly rehearsals. Tried to count sheep but couldn't get past 5, 6, 7, 8.”
Strictly was due to return to TV screens on Saturday, September 17 but it has been postponed due to the Queen’s funeral.
The first episode of 2022 – which is the 20th anniversary series - will now air the following Saturday on September 24.
As well as Kaye, other celebs taking part include former Corrie actress Kym Marsh, X Factor star Fleur East, singer Matt Goss and Paralympic swimmer Ellie Simmonds.
Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps actor Will Mellor, football legend Tony Adams, EastEnders star James Bye, comics Jayde Adams and Ellie Taylor, radio DJs Richie Anderson Tyler West and wildlife cameraman Hamza Yassin have also been signed up.
Britain’s Got Talent and CBBC star Mollie Rainford and Countryfile presenter Helen Skelton complete the 15-strong line-up.
