Strictly's Karim Zeroual in tears after hearing emotional video confession from mum

Strictly Come Dancing finalist Karim Zeroual was left in tears tonight after watching an emotional family video.

The CBBC star was given tissues to wipe away the tears by Rylan Clark Neil on the last It Takes Two of the series.

Professional partner Amy Dowden also started welling up after listening to Karim's mum, sister and nephews reveal how proud she is of her talented son.

After watching the VT, Karim said: "It's been everything. It's only been now that - because we work so hard and have so much fun - it's only times when I see that where it's like, whoa. It's a lot. Sorry.

"It would mean everything [to win]. To have come this far and made my nephews proud, my mum and Amy - I've won. I couldn't be happier. These are happy tears."

She explained: "It always brings the biggest smile to my face watching him. It makes my heart melt. I thought he was amazing.

Karim also paid tribute to Amy for bringing out his dancing ability and taking him to the final.

He said: "Watching that back it brings back amazing memories. I'm so proud of what Amy has achieved with me. We've worked so hard. I love that we're always smiling and always come back fighting.

"I have such faith in our partnership. We have an amazing friendship. We've just been ourselves and supported everyone. I'm proud and humbled to be here in the final."
