Strictly's Helen Skelton 'sorry in advance' as she makes prediction after elimination

Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Taylor has posted an emotional message after fellow dancer Ellie Taylor was dumped from the BBC dance contest on Sunday night.

The episode, shown at the earlier time of 6pm and cut back to just half an hour due to being sandwiched between two World Cup matches, saw Ellie Taylor and Fleur East drop into the bottom two for the dreaded dance off.

Helen Skelton and her pro dance partner Gorka Marquez sailed straight through to next week based on the public vote and will now be able to look forward to musicals week.

Gorka Marquez said on his Instagram after the result was announced: "Here we are ringing the bell to musicals week and celebrating that we get to dance for one more week.

"This is all down to you guys, we are so grateful for all of your love and support and we're gonna keep doing our best to make you all proud! Thank you familia"

Helen then posted an emotional tribute to departing Strictly star Ellie Taylor after her elimination in the dance-off with Fleur East - in which she made a bold prediction about her own and Ellie's kids in the future.

"Ellie T = gracious. Classy. Hilarious. Smart. Quick. Sassy. Clever. Fun. so grateful our paths crossed. So sorry my kids will be leading yours astray in ten years' time. Phil I apologise in advance'.

In Sunday night's ballroom instalment, Ellie Taylor was sent home after losing the dance off with Fleur East. The judges all voted to save Fleur, sending Ted Lasso star Ellie home at last.
