Strictly's Helen Skelton 'refuses to be a victim' as she plans to whip out risqué dance again for final

Helen Skelton says she is 'refusing to be a victim' after choosing to perform her sexy sultry Cabaret dance again in the grand finale of Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.

Helen has had a tough year after having split with her husband, Leeds Rhinos star Richie Myler, and she admitted that she was 'terrified' of performing on Strictly in the first few weeks of the show.

But everyone from Rylan Clark to Claudia Winkleman has spoken of how her confidence has grown and now Helen has revealed that she and pro partner Gorka Marquez will be dancing the Mein Herr Cabaret again for the final, which saw Helen in a slinky glittery black number, stood on Gorka's back while he wore a corset.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Helen explained: "I don’t see myself as a victim, no, because I mean, look… There are a lot of people who have been in my situation who haven’t been given the opportunities that I’ve got."

The TV and radio star did, however, say that although she had days where she was “***ed off”, her job has given her a lot of perspective.

"I think mine is a job that gives you lots of perspective, so it’s very difficult to say 'woe is me,'" she said."

And later, talking on Strictly spinoff It Takes Two, Helen told host Rylan Clark about her choice of the so called 'revenge dance': "We just had a really good time. We're so grateful for the support and everyone seemed to really enjoy that.

"And I got so many messages from people. We were just overwhelmed so it felt like the right one to do."

Some of the pros who have thrown their support behind Helen and Gorka include Luba Mushtuk and Dianne Buswell, who both posted heart emojis under Gorka's latest post about their getting to the final.
