Strictly's Helen Skelton breaks silence following ex husband's pic with pregnant girlfriend

Strictly Come Dancing finalist Helen Skelton seemed in good spirit Tuesday morning (March 7) as she uploaded footage of herself on a sunny, countryside walk on her Instagram Story. It came as she broke her silence just a day after her ex husband Richie Myler posted an image of himself with his pregnant girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill.

The Countryfile presenter, 39, opened up about her divorce from rugby league player Richie Myler, 32, last year, after nine years of marriage. The couple separated in April 2022 - four months after she gave birth to their third child, as reported by the Mirror.

In an interview from last year before their split, Helen hinted at unrest between her and Richie as she admitted they didn't go on dates and struggled to find any time to spend together as they were busy raising their children - Ernie, seven, Elsie, one, and Louis, five.

Following their split, Helen and three kids moved from Leeds to her parent’s farm in Cumbria. Meanwhile, Richie is expecting another child with his new girlfriend, who he shared of photo of to his followers on Instagram earlier this week.

The black-and-white image shows him and his partner Stephanie, 32, smiling at each other while in a close embrace. He accompanied the professional photo with a red heart emoji in the caption.

The snap showcases Stephanie's - who is the daughter of Leeds Rhinos president Andrew Thirkill - baby bump, as the couple are expecting their first child together. Stephanie's hands can be seen on Richie's face, while Richie placed his hands on her waist.

But it would seem Helen didn't let the romantic photo distract her as she went for a walk in a scenic landscape of an undisclosed outdoor location. The video, shared to her Instagram Story, also showed her pushing, who appears to be their youngest child Elsie, one, in a pram during the outing.

The TV star also accompanied the footage with the song Lovely Day, sung by the late singer Bill Withers. Helen later updated her Story to post a photo from her walk, which showed a flock of sheep within a vast field in the countryside.

On Tuesday, Helen also announced a major milestone with mental health charity Mind. "THANK YOU," she wrote in a Instagram post. "We handed over the cheque to @mindcharity this weekend at @gooutdoors and we are blown away by the support.

"Up to 25,000 people will be able to access more support because you bought our hats! Thank you @therealjuliabradbury @officialdavidseaman @seanfletchertv @blacks_online."
