Strictly's Helen Skelton backs Jowita after Giovanni split in new Instagram post

Helen Skelton has given her backing to Strictly Come Dancing star Jowita Przystal after she reportedly split up from Giovanni Pernice just weeks after they publicly admitted they were seeing each other. The dancer got together with Giovanni shortly after she won the top prize in the latest series with CBBC star and wildlife cameraman Hamza Yassin.

However busy schedules and being away from each other for too long have been blamed for them parting. Jowita has recently been travelling the length and breadth of the UK on the Strictly live tour, as Giovanni's been hitting the road with his Made in Italy show, the Chronicle reports.

Giovanni’s show has been packing out venues across the UK, just as Jowita joined Hamza and other Strictly stars for the show’s annual live tour. Their respective tour commitments meant that Jowita and Giovanni would have struggled to see each other on a regular basis and it is now being claimed that they have gone their separate ways.

A source told The Sun: “Giovanni and Jowita enjoyed a number of dates after the last series of Strictly and they got on really well. But as time has passed they have found it increasingly difficult to build on their relationship because of their hectic work schedules.”

Holidaying in the Maldives, Jowita took to Instagram to post a stunning photo of herself in a swimming pool. She captioned it: “Appreciate every second.”

Former Blue Peter host Helen was one of the first to react in the comments thread. She wrote: “Errr,” along with a series of flame emojis.

Helen’s support for Jowita comes as she’s been linked with an appearance on the next series of Celebs Go Dating, following the breakdown of her marriage to rugby star Richie Myler before going on Strictly last year.
