Strictly favourites Helen Skelton and Hamza Yassin have proven that their rivalry on the dancefloor hasn't spilt over into their friendship as the pair are reported to be teaming up to front another popular BBC show.
Former Blue Peter and Countryfile presenter Helen was partnered with Gorka Marquez on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing for the 2022 show. Storming to the final alongside fellow celebs Hamza, Fleur East and Molly Rainford and their respective professional dance partners, it was Hamza Yassin and dance partner Jowita Przystal who finally lifted the coveted glitterball.
Millions tuned in to watch the watch the pair perform their final three routines on the BBC show, with public vote eventually proclaiming the wildlife photographer and cameraman and Jowita as Strictly 2022 champions.

The final was a tightly fought battle but it seems that the contestants have all come out with their friendships intact. In an interview with Helen on daytime show Lorraine on Monday, December 19, stand-in host Ranvir Singh referred to Hamza's win as being 'not without controversy,' according to Chronicle Live. However, Helen was 'gracious in defeat', reported the publication, saying her big aim was to make her children proud.
What will come next for the Strictly stars? Well, Hamza has already been confirmed to be on the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour in the New Year, which comes to Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 24 and 25, 2023. Tickets for the show are now on sale with prices from £53.35 plus handling fee. While the line up of names announced so far includes actor Will Mellor, Paralympian Ellie Simmonds and DJ Tyler Wes, Helen hasn't, as yet, been announced as performing. However, rumours are flying that Helen and Hamza will join forces to be the 'new faces' of long-running BBC show Countryfile.
While Helen is already a presenter on the show, a source told the Daily Star: "It’s a huge opportunity for Hamza and Helen as Countryfile’s ratings eclipse most soap operas. But it’s unlikely to be the only project they both get." The news of a potential Hamza and Helen double act on Countryfile, comes as Hamza is being touted as 'the next David Attenborough,' having already fronted a number of wildlife shows, as well as doing some sterling work behind the camera.
