Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez 'forced' Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two star Janette Manrara to step in and take action during Thursday's episode, after their 'love fest' got too much for the presenter to take.
The couple have so far managed to avoid the dreaded Strictly dance-off, although there was a rather scary moment for them last weekend when they were one of just two couples left standing to find out who would join Fleur East in the bottom two. Gorka and Helen were left to await their fate, alongside James Byer and Amy Dowden and it ended up being their rivals who had to battle to stay in the show, only to to lose out to Fleur and Vito and become the fifth pair to leave.
Helen has been hit by crippling lack of confidence during her time on the show, with Gorka giving her a very public show of support when he spoke out during a live show to tell her she was 'an amazing, woman, an amazing mum and an amazing dancer." Helen and Gorka's high point of the series so far came a fortnight ago when their Blue Peter themed Charleston saw them top the leaderboard with a score of 35 during the BBC 100th Birthday special.
Fans are tipping them to be near the top of the leaderboard again this weekend when they take to floor to do a Jive to Janelle Monae's Tightrope and, as they took a break from rehearsals, Helen and Giorka joined ex Strictly pro Janette in the It Takes Two studio for the latest episode of the spin-off show.
The two were quizzed on what they made of Motsi's comment last week that they7 ere giving her 'final vibes,' with Helen replying: "I'm really superstitious so I don't even think about next week. I just think about Saturday one day at a time, so it was really lovely of her to say that and I appreciate it but I just want to work hard have a good time and learn. And if they say something I can work on that's fine, anything else I just stick that in my back pocket, save that for a rainy day."
The subject of she feared being in the dance-off also cropped up, with Helen adding: "Oh every week. Also he winds me up all the time, when we're waiting to go on and everyone else is going 'it's fine it's fine', he's there going 'oh better get ready (for the dance off) Helen'.
Gorka explaimned: "I like to put myself in the worst case scenario and then if it's not the worst case scenario it's good news. But the result of the choreography is that you do it well."
Helen quipped: "No, you're nicer than me! I'm nicer than you!" as she playfully pushed him on the shoulder and beamed.
Janette then stopped their play fighting, adding: "Oh stop it, it's a love fest!" as the pair started laughing.
