Strictly winner Hamza Yassin has revealed he’s determined to carry on Sir David Attenborough’s legacy even though “no one” is able to replace the veteran.
The 32-year-old adopted Scot, who is a wildlife cameraman and CBeebies presenter, told Hello! magazine, out today: “It’s an absolute honour to have my name mentioned in the same sentence as Sir David.”
Hamza, who lives in Ardnamurchan, scooped the iconic glitterball trophy last month after winning the hearts of viewers.
Hamza is reportedly being set up as a successor to renowned TV naturalist Sir David and he has also landed a new job as the face of Countryfile along with fellow contestant Helen Skelton.
Strictly tours the UK this month and next, and visits the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on February 12.
