Gorka Marquez included a lift in his latest Strictly Come Dancing routine with Helen Skelton which could have proved very 'dangerous' had it gone wrong.
After a rather tentative start to life on the show, ex Blue Peter host Helen and former Strictly finalist Gorka have come on leaps and bounds in recent weeks, with her growing in confidence under his guidance and their scores climbing. After finishing joint top of the leaderboard with their BBC 100th birthday week Charleston, the couple achieved their highest score to date last week, when they got their first 10 and a total of 37 out of 40.
After that series high, the pressure was on fo r Gorka and Helen to keep up the momentum and they aimed to do that with a salsa to summer anthem Despacito. Overjoyed by their song choice reveal last week, Gorka threw everything at the dance, including a number of daring lifts. And, speaking in rehearsals, Gorka, who has previously reached the final with Alexandra Burke and Maisie Smith, admitted his ambitious move was not without its risk.

He explained: "It's one of my favourite lifts and it's like a pop into a star," as Helen added: "Hopefully there'll be a moment of uuuuuhhhh....catch!"
Gorka then continued: "If the timing goes off, it could be very dangerous." Helen said she hoped the salsa would put 'a smile on people's faces' and it certainly did. While their scores didn't match the 37 of last week, they weren't far behind it on 32, after getting four 8s from the judges.
Going into Saturday's live show, Helen had climbed to second favourites to win behind Hamza Yassin in the latest Strictly winner odds.
