Strictly's Giovanni Pernice leaves fans making major demand as BBC series ends

Giovanni Pernice has left fans of the Strictly Come Dancing pros new BBC show making the same demand as it came to an end on Tuesday night - they want another series as soon as possible. And they also want another star to join him.

There was great excitement last year when it was announced that former Strictly champion Giovanni was teaming up with judge Anton Du Beke for Adventures in Sicily; a travel series that would see the popular pair travel to Giovanni's homeland, to sample its culture, its traditions, its food and of, course, its dance moves!

After its premiere in London at the start of the year, Adventures in Sicily launched to an audience of over 2 million when it debuted on BBC One last month, with Giovanni celebrating the viewing figures as many fans, including Strictly co-star Gorka Marquez, rushed to binge watch the show in its entirety on iPlayer.

The second of three episodes saw Giovanni's Glitterball-winning celeb partner Rose Ayling-Ellis jet in to join him and Anton for filming, with the ex EastEnders actress' arrival provoking an emotional response from viewers at home. Episode three went out on Tuesday night and was a particularly memorable one for Giovanni as he was reunited with his family.

As credits rolled, Giovanni took to Instagram to ask a question to fans that was met with the same answer from all of them. Penning a post on his Insta grid, the pro dancer wrote: "Question time! Would you like to see another adventure with Anton? Simple answer: Yes or no."

While many of his followers replied with a simple 'yes,' others elaborated, with one responding: "Why stop at just one more? Adventures in Europe has a nice ring to it - and would bring so much joy to BBC One." and a second writing: "yes please!! adventures in spain to visit anton's family!!"

Among the many other replies to Giovanni's post, plenty also requested for Rose to be involved again, with the double act becoming a trio for the next series.
