Giovanni Pernice has announced a new TV venture away from the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom, alongside judge Anton Du Beke.
Giovanni has been a big fan favourite on Strictly for years now, reaching the final with both Debbie McGee and Faye Tozer, before finally winning the Glitterball trophy alongside EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis at the end of last year. He suffered an earlier than expected exit in the new series of the BBC show earlier this month when, after scoring highly with the judges a week earlier for their Quickstep, he and celeb partner Richie Anderson were voted out of the competition, losing the dance-off to Fleur East and Vito Coppola.
Anton is, of course, very much still present on the show, having kept his seat on the judging panel after his promotion last year. And now, as he basks in the glory of winning a National Television Award for Best Talent Show Judge, he and Giovanni have teased details of their new series together. - Adventures in Sicily.

Signing off using one of Anton's catchphrases, Giovanni added: "Lovely jobly." Fellow Strictly pro Gorka Marquez was quick to react to the news, writing: "cant wait," while judge Shirley Ballas reacted with a love heart and former Strictly champion Ore Oduba commented: "aha I can’t bloody wait"
