Giovanni Pernice will soon be on televuision in a very different show to Strictly Come DAncing, with the populasr dancer conmfirming the debut of his seroews with judge Anton Du Beke. and it's also vbeen revealed that the pair will be joined by Rose Ayling-Ellis for one of the episodes.
Since joining the show in 2015, Giovanni has establiushed himswrelf as one of the most well known pros on the BBC programme. He reached the final at the end of his first year in the ballroom, alongside Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote. After reaxching the final again with Debbie McGee and Faye Tozer in cosecutive series, Giovanni finally lifted the Glitterball trophy in 2021, when he and EastEnders star Rose triumphed, having blown everyone away with their performances.
There was considserable shock amongst Strictly fans last year, when Giovanni suffered an much earlier than expected exit, when he and celebrity partner, The One SHow's Richie Anderson, were the second couiple to be given their marching orders from the dancefloor.
Giovanni was also missing in actiion from the Strictly live tour, as he cointinues to pack out vbenuies across the country with his Made it Italy show. And he will son be on screen in aniother venture away from Strictly, when he and judge Anton launch their travel series Adeventures in Siciliy.
Thethree part seriess, which was announced by the BBC towards the end of last year, will see Giovanni be Anton’s guide as the pair discover what the sensational Mediterranean island has to offer - exploring everything from breathtaking sights such as Mount Etna and authentic old towns right through to sampling Sicilian cuisine and perhaps even indulging in a tango or two.
And, after it ptemiered in London earlier tis year, viewqers will soon get to see ADvenmtures in Sicily for themselves, with Giovanni taking to Instaghram to post: "Anton & Giovanni’s Adventures in Sicily’ will be available on @bbcone and @bbciplayer next month! Can’t wait"
FAns' excitement for Made in Sicility has been heightened frurther by the news that Rose will also be inmvolved, after she flew out to Italy in the autumn.
Delighted that her and Giovanni will be reuinted on screen, one fan responded: "Can’t wait to see you, Rose and Anton together again" with a second commenting: "The road trip of our dreams"
