Strictly's Fleur East's husband tells her to make steamy Vito Tango even hotter

Strictly Come Dancing star Fleur East has admitted her husband told her to make her tango with Vito Coppola even hotter after watching her in rehearsals this week.

The Hits breakfast host made the candid admission on her radio show this morning which left co-hosts James and Matt lost for words.

Fleur’s dance partner Vito previously explained: "This dance it’s about fire and it’s about passion. Until now we’ve done more ballroom, except for the first week, so now we can finally get more into our mood, more hot!"

And Former X Factor star Fleur admits it was awkward performing the 'hot and steamy number'.

She explained: ‘It’s very hot and steamy and obviously it’s really hard to get into the mode of that! It’s quite awkward when you’re in rehearsals; it’s like ‘this is weird’ but we both said we need to do one where we fully go for it, and we commit to that passion and that emotion."

But the dancing duo were spurred on by Fleur's husband who encouraged them to go for it!

She continued: ''So we went for it - and it was quite intense - and my husband Marcel was there watching and at the end of the dance he went ‘hmmm… More!’ I was like ‘What? Are you sure?!’ He said you need to commit to this and you need to give it 100%.''

It's been a tough time for Fleur who was the centre of a "race" row on Sunday night after herself and Richie Anderson landed in the bottom two.

Despite receiving an impressive 29 points from the judges, it wasn't enough to put Fleur and her dance partner Vito Coppola safe in the competition.

But luckily for the X Factor star, three out of four judges voted for Fleur to stay, sending Richie and Giovanni Pernice home.

Speaking to It Takes Two host Rylan Clark she said: "It was rough," Fleur replied before adding: "In that dance-off, it was awful.

"One because obviously, you realise, 'Oh my gosh, I've got to dance again', and with all those lifts, I was just relieved we got through it once.

"Secondly, I love Richie, I get on with Richie so well. He's such a joy and I hated having to dance against him.

"But in a lot of ways, I'm actually grateful that we had that experience because it made me realise how much I want to be here."

And despite being in the dance off last week Vito feels on top form and has a positive mindset for the upcoming performance

He told on Fleur's radio show: "Now we are starting to get into the real heart of the programme, and we have so many styles to do yet, so to have the possibility to share this tango with everyone is amazing.''

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC1.
