Strictly's Fleur East reveals banned conversation between her and husband

Strictly Come Dancing star Fleur East has opened up about the banned conversation between her and her husband, since she's been a part of the BBC One show.

The former X Factor contestant, 34, revealed that she and husband Marcel Badiane-Robin have banned themselves from talking about Strictly because it's all Fleur ever seems to mention these days.

After a stellar performance last night alongside professional dance partner Vito Coppola, Fleur revealed that her husband was watching on in the audience with pride.

Despite showing up to watch his talented wife show off her impressive dance skills, both Fleur and Marcel have decided that they should no longer talk about the competition while they are at home together.

Lifting the lid on their banned conversation while chatting to Strictly host Claudia Winkleman, after making it through to another week, Fleur explained the situation.

Claudia said: "Your husband was in the audience on Saturday night. He's so supportive, he's got your back, but you two try really hard not to talk about Strictly all the time, is that right?"

To which Fleur replied: "That's right. We try, we sit up all night and talk about Strictly and then I go 'lets spend ten minutes not talking about it', and then two minutes later, we're back talking about it."

Fleur tied the knot with Marcel back in 2019.

Marcel is an accomplished fashion designer and was the founder of the Marr Ldn brand, though it ceased production last year.

The lovebirds wed in the beautiful Atlas Mountains in Morocco and last year Fleur looked back on the magical day, saying she was “so grateful” for it.

There were 120 guests at the ceremony, with some of the celebrities including Harry Redknapp and Malique Thompson-Dwyer, who she shared a camp with during I’m A Celebrity.

Thinking back to the lead-up to the wedding day, Marcel recently said: "There's a big difference between a marriage and a wedding – and you've got to make sure you've met the right person.

"It's a lot of work. You need a friend as well as a lover; someone who understands you and has the same vision as you.

"It's a long journey and if you're going to commit, you've got to understand the full picture. And when you meet the right person, you know."
