Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood delays wedding again as he shares shock over cost

Craig Revel Horwood has revealed that he has delayed his wedding even further, with him not planning to tie the knot to his fiancé Jonathan Myring for another two years.

The choreographer, 57, got engaged to his horticulturist partner, 35, in early 2020 - though didn't want to rush into their nuptials due to restrictions amid the Covid pandemic.

The Strictly Come Dancing judge had previously hoped to get married sometime this year before pushing the date back to 2023 - though he has now delayed it even further.

The cause of such delays has been work commitments, though another influence in the decision to postpone the wedding is that the location of the nuptials is being refurbished.

Craig intended to get married in the grounds of the couple's new Victorian mansion, which is currently being refurbished and isn't expected to be ready for at least another year.

He said recently: "I was going to have it this year and then Strictly Ballroom with Kevin Clifton came along and then we put the date until 2023 and now I am working again."

The date has now been moved to 2024, he confirmed over the weekend, with the dancer reminding that he and partner Jonathan want to get married at their home.

Discussing the property, he said: "It's a new house that needs a lot doing to it. I thought I would get it done in a year or two but there is no way it is going to be ready."

Craig said the house overlooks a brook and has its own lake, with him adding that it would therefore be a "really lovely and beautiful" as the location of his upcoming nuptials.

He further commented that there is a "money issue" with the wedding, teasing: "I have got to pay for it and I did not realise how expensive weddings were. I had no idea."

The choreographer - who was previously married to now ex-wife Jane Horwood between 1990 and 1992 - said that he had got married "on the cheap" when they did it.

He added: "That was back in the day when I was a little bit straighter. I have always been a little bit camp but she loved that. So that is the answer and the reason."
