Strictly's Claudia Winkleman talks quitting show and says bosses will say when to go

Strictly Come Dancing star Claudia Winkleman revealed she doesn't plan on leaving the show until bosses tell her to go.

The 50-year-old host joined the cast back in 2004 and worked on Strictly: It Takes Two until 2012.

Viewers loved her bubbly personality and she soon made her way onto the main programme with co-host Tess Daly.

She started off in charge of the results show but quickly became part of the main Saturday show in 2014.

Claudia explained that she doesn't know how long she will stay on the hit show and is leaving it up to her bosses to tell her when her time is up.

The star joked she will be hosting “until they tell me to pick up my bottle of fake tan and leave”.

She added to Radio Times: “I don’t plan ahead. I couldn’t tell you what I’m having for lunch tomorrow.”

Claudia and Tess will host a special version of Strictly this weekend.

To celebrate 100 years of the BBC, all routines will be inspired by iconic programmes from the channel.

This weekend, the stars will be moving and grooving to the likes of the Casualty theme song as well as the Grange Hill theme song.

She revealed: “Tess, me and the dancers are gatecrashing the BBC’s biggest shows. Match of the Day, EastEnders, The Graham Norton Show, Casualty, every dance will either be to a BBC theme tune or be inspired by a BBC show.

"We’re really excited about it!”
