Strictly's Claudia Winkleman jokes she's pregnant during flirty exchange with new pro

Claudia Winkleman got a little flustered and teased that she had fell pregnant after an intense moment during the launch of this year's Strictly Come Dancing on Friday night.

The presenter, 50, fronted the first episode of the new series alongside co-host Tess Daly, 53, this evening - which saw the celebrities paired up with their dance partners.

There was also a segment introducing viewers to the four new professional dancers on the BBC show, including Carlos Gu, 28 - who seemed a little flirtatious with Claudia.

It came after she asked the multiple world semi-finalist what his favourite style of dance was, to which Carlos responded that it would be the rumba or the paso doble.

Claudia questioned why he was a fan of the rumba, saying that it essentially involved just standing - which prompted Carlos to get close to her to demonstrate the sensuality.

He told her: "Rumba ... when you touch you, you feel the sensual". He was seen placing his hands on her arms as he made the remark, before pulling Claudia in close.

She appeared a little unsure as he began his explanation and was seen looking elsewhere during his initial comment, before the dancer instructed her: "Look at me darling".

Following his direction, the presenter looked towards him, with their faces just inches apart - causing laughter from the studio audience and leading Claudia to blush.

Carlos - who has been partnered with CBBC star Molly Rainford, 21, in the competition - asked: "Do you feel that?" He soon pushed her away and told her to "now let it go!"

Claudia seemed a little flustered over the interaction with Carlos, fanning herself with her cue card. Vito Coppola, 29 - another new dancer - attempted to fan her with his hands.

"I think I am pregnant. Thank you," she teased. Claudia then conceded over her previous opinion, saying: "I've got all it wrong about the rumba, it's not obviously just standing".
