Strictly's Cameron Lombard breaks silence on 'dream come true' after Gorka kiss 'mystery'

Cameron Lombard has declared his dream 'has come true' after he got to perform in Blackpool's Tower Ballroom for the first time as Strictly Come Dancing viewers talking thanks to his' kiss' with Gorka Marquez.

The Covid pandemic thwarted Strictly bosses' plans to go to Blackpool in both 2020 and 2021, so there was great excitement at the show getting to go back there last weekend, for the first time since 2019. The judges, audience inside the Tower Ballroom and millions of viewers at home were treated to a real spectacle when, after a very colourful opening number from the Strictly professionals, the remaining couples all upped their games to deliver some fantastic routines, flanked by a host of backing dancers.

One of the pros involved in the performances was Cameron who, while unfamiliar to casual viewers, is well known to diehard Strictly fans for his roles in group numbers on the BBC show and for being in the cast of the Strictly arena tour. Cameron got everyone talking due to his involvement in Gorka's dance with Helen Skelton.

The hotly tipped couple performed a Quickstep to Mark Ronson & Amy Winehouse's hit Valerie, with Cameron and several other dances joining in with the pub themed routine. And then, right at the end of the dance, Cameron, who is the current South African champion, was front and centre as he planted a kiss on Gorka.

There was a massive reaction to the moment on Twitter, as fans, unsure who Cameron was, searched for answers, while other viewers were very jealous. Well now, after the dust has settled on what was a very memorable weekend for the whole Strictly team, Cameron has posted about his Blackpool experience on Instagram, writing: "BLACKPOOL !!The Wembley Stadium Of Ballroom Dancing . It is literally every dancers dream to make it to Blackpool ! I can finally say that my dream has come true and I was finally able to step foot in the Blackpool tower ballroom for the very first time .

He continued: Performing with the most talented people who share the same dream is one of the most amazing feelings in the world . I am truly grateful , overwhelmed and humbled "

Cameron ended his post by talking about star guest Sam Ryder, who performed a moving rendition of You're The Voice as the Strictly pros were joined by young dancers on the dancefloor. He added: "Also to top it off above all the great things that happened over the weekend I also got to perform with @samhairwolfryder "
