Strictly Come Dancing star Bruno Tonioli has stayed silent on reports that he's ready to say goodbye to the BBC ballroom 'for good.'
Bruno's involvement in the hit show has been massively disrupted over the past two years due to the coronavirus pandemic. With both the UK and America, where he spends most of his time, were subject to strict travel regulations when BBC bosses managed to bring Strictly to air in autumn of 2020. That meant Bruno was unable to be in the studio as the likes of Maisie Smith and eventual champion Bill Bailey competed.
The judge, who was on the panel when the programme launched back in the summer of 2004, did play a weekly part in the show, giving his verdicts via video during the results show. However, last year Bruno was replaced entirely, with Anton Du Beke making the transition from being pro dancer to panellist to become the fourth judge.

And now, after Anton proved a big hit with viewers, it's being reported that Bruno is walking away from Strictly after 18 years to focus purely on the US, where he's a judge on American alternative Dancing With The Stars. On. As reported by the Daily Mail, a source said: "A source said: 'He's going to be a judge only on [the U.S. version] Dancing With The Stars from now on."
Bruno, who spoke out to congratulate Anton on becoming a judge in 2021, has so far stayed tight-lipped on his Strictly future. While he did take to his Instagram account on Tuesday, it wasn't to confirm or deny the quit repots, but to celebrate the fact Dancing With The Stars had been nominated for two Critics Choice TV Awards, also sharing the news via his Twitter page.
