Amy Dowden has admitted her "heart was in her mouth" during the latest live Strictly Come Dancing show. The Welsh professional, who is partnered with actor James Bye in the 2022 series, has revealed the pair took a tumble during the dress run, despite not falling once in training.
During the second live show, which aired on Saturday, October 1, Amy and James performed a Tango to Bad Habits by Ed Sheeran. The pair scored a total of 24 points and managed to avoid the dreaded dance-off, which saw Kaye Adams and Kai Widdrington sent home.
However, despite a successful performance, Amy has revealed their dress rehearsal didn't go as well. The dancer, from Caerphilly, shared a clip of James falling backward on her Instagram account.

She captioned the clip: "What's the saying bad dress run a good show? We never once fell practicing this move. All I can say is my heart was in my mouth the entire performance and this very move was at the end of the routine.
"But for the big performance, it went perfectly. Can we just appreciate what a showman @jimmybye is getting straight back up, staying calm and in control and finishing the dance perfectly on time #legend. The same time as that look checking I was ok, #gentleman."
It comes after Amy revealed she was now "definitely" a Bye family member. The professional took to social media prior to the live show to share a picture with James, his wife Victoria, and their three sons.
She captioned the image: "Show rrrrrrready after having @jimmybye biggest critics watch our dress run @lifewiththebyes!!! I'm definitely a Bye family member now! Loved showing these guys our routine! Guys tonight the phone lines open. If you enjoy our dance and want us to keeeeeeep dancing please vote! We certainly are LOVING IT AND CANT WAIT TO TANGO LATER."
